Villa Kubu Resort is hidden away in Seminyak and is arguably the most private of all resort in the area. Their motto Luxury of Privacy is just that and more. It sits right in the heart of lively Seminyak, yet the moment you enter the villa, the serenity and tranquil aura engulf you. It feels like you are in your own personal oasis. Nestled amongst the trees and birds, the ambience is blissfully quiet and peaceful, an ideal place for your Bali Vacation.

The name Kubu is a Balinese word meaning “ Home away from home”. The feel of home was exactly what we felt the moment we entered our villa. Our spacious villa offered all the comforts of home and more. It is set amongst lush tropical gardens with 2 bedrooms, a dining area, the kitchen and seating area. Boasting a large swimming pool and a garden gazebo, the villa also is equipped with an iPod, TV in every bedroom and Wi Fi connectivity. The villa is so private; it is like being in a world of your own.

The atmosphere at the villa is very comforting and we could hear the frogs croaking in the distance, as well as the geckos and their drum – like rhythms. It is so hard to believe that the villas is located just a 10 minute walk from popular Seminyak Beach. Along the short stroll to Seminyak Beach, there is a colorful array of international restaurants, exciting nightclubs, shops and much more. From Seminyak Beach, it is only a few minutes to the Oberoi and double six beach cafes – a very strategic location indeed.

Villa Kubu comprises 14 villas, with a choice of 2 or 3 bedrooms, The Villas are similar, but with little differences catering for all tastes and needs of guests from around the world. One of the unique aspects of Villa Kubu is its flags. Like ships at sea, the flags are a method of communication. Residents have there flags, each with its own meaning – red for “ do not disturb “ yellow for “ just checked in “ and green for “ please clean the villa”. I just loved this distinctive way of communicating.

In the evening, we retreated into our room and had a wonderful sleep. I woke up the next morning and basked in the morning sun. I relaxed and read a book, while enjoying the serenity of the world around me. Later that morning, two butlers come to the villa and prepared our breakfast. Everything was freshly prepared and the butlers made sure we had everything we needed.

Time flies when you are having fun, and we had a marvelous time staying at Villa Kubu. We enjoyed complete relaxation and peace of mind. Everything was perfect from the tranquil atmosphere and personalized butler services to the mouth watering room service fare and luxury you can indulge in with complete privacy.
